Fijate bien dónde he llegado por vos.

TRADUCCIÓN · ENGLISH · 01

I do not know how I could sink lower than you, so cowardly and so vile. I do not know how I could endure so far from God, so far from myself... You led me by the hand like a child to sink me in the swamp of your infamy and your way of life. This is atrocious. Look closely at where you have brought me.

My life in ruin, trembling and restless, my eyes bleeding from so much weeping... All through your fault, accursed viper, you who are my madness, you who are my suffering... My mother, who suffers without saying a word, cannot draw me away from my downfall, because my soul is bound to your gaze and because I cannot master my heart.

How much longer, tell me, please, will you keep me gnawing at your love? How far will you take me, pinning at your feet my horrified eyes? I would rather you killed me with a bullet, rather you tore to pieces my cowardly heart! I can no longer bear this life of mine, for it is worse than dying.

Mordiendo tu amor La imagen mezcla deseo y daño.

ENGLISH

Maula and ruin Maula describes someone cowardly and contemptible; ruin reinforces moral degradation. The character begins by comparing himself with the person he accuses. “Far from God, far from myself” expresses a loss of guiding values and identity.

The child and the swamp The hand that should guide or protect leads instead to sinking. The swamp turns the relationship into a place that is hard to escape. The lyrics speak through a wounded voice: its accusations belong to the character, rather than an impartial account.

Invisible chains The title needs no material chains: the gaze and the heart keep the character bound to the person he blames for his ruin. His mother suffers and wants to draw him away, but cannot break the bond. Love is represented as dependence and a loss of will.

Gnawing at your love The image mixes desire and harm. Blood, horror and violence push the expression to extremes; the bullet and the torn-out heart convey the speaker’s desperation. The ending sets living against dying to say that he can no longer bear this life.
