ENGLISH
The house as memory the door, piano, table, mirror and pictures keep the presence of the person who left. “Echoes of the echo” places the voice another step away: neither the person nor even the direct voice remains, only a resonance persisting in objects.
A magnolia made wet by the moon skin becomes a flower, and moonlight gains the power to wet it. The voice, by contrast, warms love. These are sensory images of an idealized memory; they need not be read as literal descriptions.
They all died, no one like you the phrase says that, for the narrator, the possibilities of another love have vanished, rather than describing the actual death of all women. The blue album gathers verses left alone. The final ash turns that intimate archive into the remains of something that can no longer come alive.
